WOW* Emma Macdonald Wedding 2024 influencer fiancée Emma MacDonald in stunning Cape Cod wedding officiated by retired All-Star. Over the weekend, NBA champion Payton Pritchard married influencer Emma MacDonald on Cape Cod, adding another ring to his collection.
The point guard and MacDonald tied the knot at the Wychmere Beach Club in her home state of Massachusetts, about two months after the Celtics claimed their record 18th NBA championship.
The bride looked stunning with a long tulle skirt and a strapless dress with a drop waist. She accessorized the ensemble with a long veil that flowed with the breeze and drew her blond hair back into an elegant updo.
The 26-year-old Pritchard looked sharp wearing an off-white shirt with a white tuxedo.
In the meanwhile, retired NBA All-Star Blake Griffin, a former teammate of Pritchard, presided over the event.
As shown in a video that Boston player Jaylen Brown uploaded on X, Griffin warned the happy couple and their guests during the wedding, “At no point tonight am I allowed to do my impersonation of Payton.”
After leaving a remark on one of his now-wife’s Instagram photos, Pritchard got to know her.
In a social media video, MacDonald revealed that before they talked about tying the knot, Pritchard started referring to her as his girlfriend after they started dating.
Less than a year into their relationship, he got down on one knee on a Cape Cod beach close to her hometown.
The two wrote, “A love for a lifetime,” as the caption for their July engagement photo.
The 6-foot-1 product of Oregon had a career year in 2023–24, playing in all 82 games during the regular season and 19 postseason games while assisting Boston in winning an NBA record 18 titles.
‘I am so beyond proud of you and everything you have done so far in this lifetime,’ MacDonald said in a social media tribute to him at the time. I’m very excited love meeting for Couples.
Pritchard made a half-court jumper to take the Celtics into halftime of their 106-88 Game 5 victory over the Dallas Mavericks during the second quarter.
According to Stathead, he made NBA history by being the first player to make two 30-foot buzzer-beaters in the finals.
Following a season in which he averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game, Pritchard assisted fellow Celtics players Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Jayson Tatum in getting ready for the just concluded Olympics in Paris.
In essence, the former Oregon Duck served as practice competition for LeBron James and company while playing for the USA Basketball Men’s Select Team at the Olympic squad’s training camp in Las Vegas.
Pritchard, known as “Fast PP,” is a reliable rotation player in Boston, but he was a high school hero in Oregon, where he won four straight state championships at West Linn, a suburb of Portland.
His achievements in high school earned him Oregon’s Player of the Year honors for several years.
Afterwards, Pritchard was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 26th choice in the 2020 NBA Draft. According to Spotrac.com, he has made $1.04 million in his first four NBA seasons. Pritchard has a four-season contract that pays.
