Mr Gatti’s Pizza : Four states will see the introduction of Walmart pizza eateries. In a press release on Thursday, Texas-based eatery Mr. Gatti’s Pizza revealed its intentions to open 92 corporate-owned outlets within Walmart stores in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.
As part of an expansion into four states, Walmart consumers at specific shops will soon be able to grab pizza from a Texas-based restaurant while they shop.
Later this year, 12 new locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma will be added as part of the expansion. There will soon be more eateries in Walmart stores in other states. The announcement was also posted by the eatery on Facebook on Monday.
The company stated that this relationship will begin later this year with the opening of 12 locations, substantially expanding their national footprint and introducing their delectable pizza to new regions.
It was opened as a restaurant sixty years ago
In a press statement, Mr. Gatti’s Pizza CEO Jim Phillips stated that Walmart came up with the idea for the partnership. Because of the restaurant’s standing in Texas, the store got in touch with it.
Our partnership with Walmart allows us to accelerate our expansion into new areas while continuing to strengthen our presence in familiar communities, bolstering our legacy for long-term success, one slice at a time. We have been vocal about our ambitious growth goals for years,” Phillips said.
Approximately 154 miles north of Austin, near Stephenville, Texas, Mr. Gatti’s Pizza first debuted as The Pizza Place in 1964. In 1969, the company moved to Austin and changed its name to reflect the wife of restaurant founder James Eure’s maiden name.
