Home Run Derby New rules for 2024

Unlike previous years, the 2024 Home Run Derby will not follow a rigid competition format. Rather, the eight hitters will face off in the first round.

And the four top hitters—who will be seeded 1-4 depending on how many home runs they hit in the first round—will advance to the semifinals. The longest home run by any hitter will decide the tiebreaker.
