The crash occurred near Walrus Ice Cream, a popular local establishment, with the truck coming to rest on the sidewalk in front of the shop.

According to an update, three victims had serious injuries but were in stable condition, while two others had minor injuries. Another person was treated at the scene for minor injuries and was not transported by ambulance.
